Is that govt were right and the enslaved Chinese wrong? Feeling of the pure-blooded "Chinese" campaign for getting back the control of Taiwan. Close to 2pm performance of "8 hsien", sit at the front left seat alone, w fan blowing cool, under very high transparent roof keeping air-conditioning, still bright w. cloud gathering, w. 3 of them far back. Observing their singing, directing very spiritually, playing accordion quite well, then fully dressed "Peking opera" costume "hsien" coming out by one very deliberately and gaitful. Go back to sit besides mom at the entrance door police seats. Near 3pm, several Hakka groups from around Taiwan ready to sing and dance and perform deligently. Back to the up front seats, Teu-fun lady shows up momentarily, Hiro absent. After a while, mom leads out, passing selling stands under tent, Dju buys some treated vegetable, then walk towards 100, as cars are not allowed around. Waiting for the long, long traffiic lights, I sit and walk up still wait long for car to turn around, lost ladies waiting outside of 101. It's not hot enough today, unfortunately! Inside the Hsing-yi entrace, we 2 walk around looking for them, finally agree to Hiro to seek separately, telling him to be back right inside the entrance, then 2 or 3pm! But, in the bookstore, finally find a very good brand new book on divinding property procedures incl. trust, and 3 missing Taipei maps, for late back half an hour? Then, Hiro doesn't tell them our gathering place, otherwise, at least mom will come back to chekc again perhaps a few times, after Hiro maintain he has waited at the spot for 20 minutes only once for several hours! Anyway, I sit on the floor reading newspapers for hours, asking door-keepers when leaving, then go in the Old Coffee house right there sitting next to window with my special big hat on table, enjoy good thick soup and beef something and paper-reading then simple dentistry right there. After 8pm, public announcing twice, then the 3rd time they pronounce 3 person's name several times, go up to bookstore twice, as I have mentioned it, for them to look for me BEFORE supper, Hiro was there also, they say. But, he could not think about the entrance. Mom would have. Past 9pm, Walk, wait and wait for bus, off at Taida Hosp., bread, home before 11pm, talk a while, they to bed first, finally I at 12:10, late for this period.
