Good physical exercise. Now finished emails answering DF of [C] Now 12:09am. 1am bed. 1) Emails: I. Fundamentalism: "In "Holy American Emprie"? #1000 [ Muslim American: A new identity? ]" """ Islam is not only one of a few major world religions, but is the one growing rapidly in the USA, and especially in the "underground" US like prisons, among Americans who the American dream has never exited and is the most terrible joke, as I remember. When I first came to the US in New York City, the radio air was full of dreams and excitement, in that incredible early 60's until the horror of that fateful latter part of the year. The dream had lasted only a few months personally for me. I should have better known 5-6 years before that or even far before. I did have lived under the fear of white terrorism with the full American support for that "ROC" government. Truly incredibly, that "ROC" LIVES ON by no one else but our Taiwanese, under the threats of military destruction from China and indirecly from the USA. I have read about the Chinese civilization as being rational, in a San Jose Mercury News book review of last Sunday: "Bluprint for a blood bath: Pol Pot's 1.5 million murders explained lucidly", by William Grimes, New York Times: on "Pol Pot: Anatomy of a Nightmare", by Philip Short. "" He contrasts the tempering influence of Confucianism on Vietnamese and Chinese political thinking with the nihilistic percepts of Theravada Buddhism and the dark shadows of Khmer superstitions, still very much alive... "Whereas Mao was the product of an intensely rational, literate society, wht highly developed traditions of philosophical debate, Sar's [Saloth Sar, or Pol Pot] cultural heritage was irrational, oral, guided by Theravada transcendentalism and by k'ruu, ...not from analysis but from illuminations," "" You know, there are worlds outside of religious worlds. It seems to me Europe has finally evolved out of terrible religious wars, persecutions, and extremism. Fundamentalism has been a puzzle for me even in my personal experience. "Holy American Empire", centuries after an European one? """ II. US Naked Force: "Coming Multilateral Militaries #1001 > Naked Force [Three carriers may converge in the Mediterranean]": "" Tsai 05.3.15=2 #2 or 3] Unfortunate for the USA: 1) Its "projection of power and INFLUENCE" has been too much over-stretched, and also for too long, for its own security and well-beings. 2) This ""simple (but effective) remonder of what we can do to support "people power"" has evoked too much distrust, fear, and anger, BECAUSE OF constant and real military threats. 3) The true problem lies with the fact that "Bush said we do it. He does not lie." BECAUSE he has publicly announced his intention of "unilateralism" on his new policy of "pre-emptivism". It's above law with naked force of any means available. "" Now 2:25pm came here with new hot topic of China's Threats. 2) China's Threats: "China's Huge Spy Network in U.S.", by Wes Vernon, NewsMax.com; Tuesday, March 15, 2005: http://newsmax.com/archives/articles/2005/3/14/161447.shtml "" Communist China is baring its fangs again, and that should focus renewed attention here in the U.S. on Beijing's military and economic buildup (aided and abetted by the industrialized world with the help of your tax dollars) and the spy network right here on our soil. China's rubber-stamp Parliament has enacted into law a clear threat to take the island of Taiwan by force if necessary. That threat has been hanging over Taiwan ever since the Mainland Communist revolution of 1949 chased the pro-Western anti-communist Chinese government to the island. In passing the law, China ignored White House concerns that labeled the statement as "dangerous" and "unhelpful," adding that the threat to use "nonpeaceful means" upsets a status quo that has kept international diplomats walking on eggs for decades.
