[ Gore's Hypocrisy/Legal loopholes? ] [Tsai 06.1.28=6 #1] Re., I cannot help myself. In the first place, I become very angry and sick, first back in Taiwan when I read New York Times as a class assignment for the International Relations, angry at American suppost of Israeli "Nazism". Then I was horrified when the US had started massive bombing of N. Vietnam. Now at American agression of Iraq again with lies. My father had managed to have all his family and his children's families migrating to the USA. By the time I could feel comfortable to move back to Taiwan, my parents were getting very old, and my wife violated my request to her mother that we move back, first with the reason of helping her family to come to the States, applying for US citizenship. All my 3 children are born in the US, and I have lost opportunity to bring them back to Taiwan, to receive regular Taiwanese eduction as Taiwanese, regardless of whether they renounce US citizenship or not. That would be their rights. So I have been trapped in the US. During the Vietnam war, once I tried to move to Canada but gave up, alas. All I could do now is going back to Taiwan almost every year and stay there quite a long time. After my father passed on, my mother has mananged to start to repair our ancestral temple in our hometown, so we are going back to Taiwan soon. Once my parents had thought about application for citizenship here, but gave up. The so-called farce ROC passport is all I have now. But, we WILL demand and get our full nationhood as much as Switzerland! Re., if you suport the USA so much, why don't you move back here? Do you feel at home in Japan? ====================== Re. <...ne.jp> wrote: At 23:45 27.01.2006 -0800, bbcweb wrote: >[Tsai 06.1.27=5 #2] Why "anti-Americanism"? It's sad, but we just have to face the reality of the logical end of analyzing the USA as "America". As you have just stated in your last post, something happened in Turkey is deemed to be genocide, but similar but more deadly thing happened in America, it's just Indian stories as in the Western. The end product of "Americanism" sanctifying all American citizens or even any persons deemed worthy of being considered Americans, as true humans, and all others as "sub-humans", then this "Americanism" is a different variety of pure "Nazism", so it's natural that there are extreme horror happenings. Only Nazi Germans did it in Europe, and Americanism Americans have been doing all over the world.. Tsai, your rabid America-hatred is ridiculous. [ Gore's Hypocrisy/Legal loopholes? ] [Tsai 06.1.28=6 #2] Yes, indeed, Ro.. My experience in the US is that the ordinary Americans are very nice, far from being as evill as what their country has been doing lately, or since before 1776? Yesterday, I watched the French author of: "American Vertigo : Traveling America in the Footsteps of Tocqueville". He likes Americans as much as I do: http://tinyurl.com/debwl ====================== Ro..co.uk wrote: [Re.] Tsai, your rabid America-hatred is ridiculous. How can you live in a place that you despise so much? [Ro.] Again, the old "dictate the agenda, define the words" problem is showing through. "Anti-Americanism" is an ambiguous _expression with two possible meanings. It can either mean "an opposition to America", period, or alternatively it can mean "an opposition to American-ISM" (i.e. a uniquely American rabid, rightwing version of Nationalism) There's no contradiction at all in loving China, but hating Mao, or liking American people.... but hating their currently dominant political faction. Germany and Japan (the two countries where you live) tend to be remembered mainly for attacking their neighbours and commiting attrocities against their civilian populations. Yet you seem to find no problem livingin either country. Not every German is a Nazi, not every Japanese wants to annexe Manchuria. One has to wonder about the agenda of someone who claims that opponents of the 21st century's most dangerous form of nationalism hates everyone from the country that spawned it. It's askin to claiming that being "anti-Nazi" is the same thing as "Anti-German". Ro. ""
